10 月 28 日傳來了讓人驚訝又心痛的消息，在《Friends》（老友記／台譯：六人行）中飾演 Chandler 的 Matthew Perry 被發現於家中浴缸溺斃，結束了 54 年的人生。
Matthew Perry 於昨日在美國舉行喪禮，雖然是低調的私人儀式，不過一班《Friends》的演員都有全程送別這位人生摯友，彼此間的感情讓人動容。

在 Matthew Perry 離世的消息傳出後，《Friends》的其餘 5 位主角包括 Jennifer Aniston、Courteney Cox、Lisa Kudrow、Matt LeBlanc 和 David Schwimmer 也有發表聯合聲明，表示「我們都因失去 Matthew 而極度悲痛，我們不僅僅是同劇演員，我們是一家人。我們想說的話有很多，但現在我們需要花一點時間來哀悼，以及處理這難以量度的痛楚。」
喪禮只邀請家人和親密朋友
5 位主角也有到場送別
就在美國時間的星期五，Matthew Perry 的家人為其舉行了喪禮，儀式以私人形式進行，只邀請了家人和最親密的朋友出席。
根據外媒所拍到的照片可見，《Friends》的 5 位主角同樣有份出席，他們全部穿著黑色造型到場，神情表現得非常哀傷。而 Matthew Perry 82 歲的父親、84 歲的母親和 76 歲的繼父都有出席喪禮。

消息指，Matthew Perry 下葬的地方位於華納兄弟片場的對面，也就是 10 季《Friends》的拍攝地方。選擇這兒作為 Matthew Perry 的長眠地，彷彿份外有意義。
Matthew Perry 曾經說過，雖然拍電影讓他獲得了名氣和大眾的喜愛，但同時是他壓力的來源，亦曾經因為拍戲受傷而需要服食止痛藥，後來演變成藥癮問題，因此他一生都是伴隨著毒品和酒精。如今隨著他的離世，或許也能讓他真正遠離痛苦，願他可以好好安息。
