催同事趕進度,
不要再用 "Can you reply quickly" 這種句子
在商業英文 e-mail 裡,催同事趕進度,下意識可能會用 "can you reply quickly"(你可以快點回覆嗎)這樣的句子,氣急敗壞一點可能會脫口而出 "Why haven’t you responded yet?"(你怎麼還沒回?)、"I need this now."(我現在就要這個。)這類淺顯直觀的句子,但這種語句因為不夠和緩、感覺很急躁,反而會讓你顯得失了氣度,不夠專業,甚至責怪意味過重,反倒讓對方不爽。雖然知道這個時候的你心裡很急,但欲速則不達,不妨把以下幾個冷靜、禮貌、不失專業,但又傳達急迫性的說法學起來,進行有效的施壓:
"When you have a moment, could you provide an update on this?"
當您有空時,能否告知此事的最新進展?
"Could you kindly prioritize this and let me know where we stand?"
是否可以優先處理此事,並告知我目前的狀況?
"Would it be possible to hear back from you by [specific date/time]?"
是否有可能在[具體日期/時間]前得到您的回覆?
"If it's convenient, could you share any updates as soon as possible?"

"I’d appreciate it if you could get back to me at your earliest convenience."
